CalWest's Partner School, St. James' Episcopal School, in the greater Los Angeles area is seeking a Director of Admissions for the 2019-2020 school year.

Job Description 

The Director of Admission oversees the recruitment, application, matriculation and retention of students. Additionally, with the school’s Director of Advancement, she/he is responsible for managing the school’s brand and external communications. The Director of Admission chairs the school’s enrollment management committee, the admissions committee and is vice-chair of the Tuition Assistance Committee. She/he also serves on the Senior Administrative Team and coordinates the family ambassador program. She/he supervises the Assistant Director of Admission, the Admissions Coordinator/Registrar and the Communications Manager. The Director of Admission reports to the Head of School.

Requirements:

  • minimum of five years of experience working in a K-6 environment
  • minimum of five years-experience in a senior role within an admissions office
  • minimum of a B.A. from an accredited college or university
  • strong commitment to preschool through grade six education
  • consistent and proven commitment to collaborative leadership, problem-solving and working as a member of a team.
  • consistent and proven commitment to stewarding and expanding equity and access within an admissions process.
  • consistent and proven commitment to refining a school’s market place position & brand.
  • deep understanding and proven ability to design an agile, responsive and successful
  • enrollment management strategy
  • highly successful at written and verbal communication; a deep curiosity around
  • problem-solving
  • proven and successful administrator, ability to manage and grow a team.
  • proven success in building a parent & family volunteer program to support Admissions &
  • matriculation
  • highly expert in technology, particularly student management systems, FAST, websites, Instagram and Facebook.
