Responsibilities likely include teaching four sections of sophomore Chemistry and/or Physics but may include other science courses as needed or expertise applies.

Responsibilities include teaching four sections of science, being an advisor for a group of students, attending team and department meetings, collaborating, helping to maintain shared classroom spaces, and representing the department at open houses. Classes meet every day for 75-minute blocks.

1. Discuss a technique you have used in your teaching to ensure that students with different strengths and confidence can engage with the material, learn and, at times, shine.

2. Why do you think that the subject matter (chemistry and/or physics) is relevant and important to students’ lives, whether or not they end up in science-related careers?

CalWest and our partner schools are unable to respond to all applicants.

Candidates may be submitted to multiple positions during their time with CalWest. Also, candidates may not be chosen to move forward in the search they initially expressed interest in pursuing.
