Applying for Position:
Spanish Teacher

This opening calls for specific teaching qualifications set by the school.

CalWest's client school in Seattle, Washington seeks an Intermediate School Spanish Teacher and a Middle School Spanish Teacher to begin in August 2025.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Latin American studies, or related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Have experience implementing Spanish curriculum.
  • Academic or professional experience in gifted education, creative problem-solving, and inquiry-based education is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing Spanish curriculum
  • Plan and design daily instructional activities for all students
  • Develop multiple tools to assess student learning on an ongoing basis.
  • Advisor to mixed grade level students
  • Participation in class outings and overnight trips
  • Attendance at faculty and department/grade level meetings
  • Filling-in with other duties as the schedule allows.
