IT Manager & Technology Teacher

This opening calls for specific teaching qualifications set by the school.

CalWest client school in the greater San Francisco Area seeks an IT Manager & Technology Teacher to begin July 1, 2025.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Computer Science, Instructional Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years teaching experience in a technology or STEM field, preferably in the elementary setting
  • Minimum 2 years experience in IT management or educational technology support.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood through upper elementary developmental stages.
  • CPR certification required (can be obtained through KC after hire) ● Must pass fingerprinting and background checks.
  • Educational technology certifications (e.g., Google Educator, Apple Teacher) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Instructional design and integration of technology in Pre-K through 5th grade classrooms.
  • Coding platforms (e.g., Scratch, Blockly), robotics kits (e.g., Dash, LEGO), and digital creativity tools.
  • Network and device management, particularly Apple and ChromeOS environments.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.) and Google Classroom, with the ability to support both student and staff use across platforms.
  • Project management and multitasking in a fast-paced, dynamic school setting.
  • Clear, respectful communication with students, parents, faculty, and vendors.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking under pressure. 
  • Team leadership and collaboration.
  • Passion for working with children and technology.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and responsiveness.
  • High degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to physically lift and set up equipment as needed and navigate a tech-rich campus.
