CalWest's Client School seeks a Middle School Math/Science teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.
This full-time math instructor will join our department beginning in August 2019. Although the exact courses have yet to be determined, the position will primarily focus on middle school math with a potential to teach some science courses (grades 6-8). The ideal candidate should have an expertise in a range of math courses such as Algebra, Pre-Algebra, and 6th grade math. Additional experience in STEM related courses is desired and will be highly considered. Interest in robotics is a plus. In addition, an ideal instructor at Hillel combines high expectations with a high level of support.
The goals of the Math Department are as follows: to assist students develop an understanding of mathematical concepts and skills that enable students to develop a passion for math and an appreciation for the place of math in everyday life; to provide students with the greatest possible preparation for success in high school math programs; to present students with experiences that promote and develop a growth mindset; and to equip students to be problem solvers and have the ability to communicate and reason mathematically.
Hillel Hebrew Academy, an independent, Orthodox Jewish day school in Beverly Hills for 170 boys and girls in grades 6-8, seeks a dynamic Math instructor with an interest in STEM to join the faculty for the 2019-2020 school year.
